Who we are and what we actually do
Workshop of Boston was founded in 2018 in Brașov, Romania, by a team of analysts who had grown frustrated watching clients spend money on SEO work that couldn't be explained, measured, or replicated. The name is a nod to the idea of craft — methodical, bench-level work that produces something durable — but the practice is entirely data-driven. We are a micro-team of four: an SEO strategist, a technical crawler specialist, a content editor with a linguistics background, and a link-building researcher. That's deliberate. We don't scale by hiring generalists; we scale by working with a focused client roster of eight to twelve active engagements at any one time, which means every account gets senior-level attention every week. Our services cover the five core disciplines of organic search: technical SEO audits, keyword research and mapping, on-page content optimization, off-page link building, and ongoing performance reporting via live Looker Studio dashboards. We work primarily with businesses that have an existing web presence and want to grow organic traffic measurably — not start-ups looking for a site build, and not brands that want to rank for vanity keywords with no commercial intent behind them.
How we work — and where the limits are
Every engagement starts with data collection: a full-site crawl, a Search Console export, and a competitor gap analysis. From those three inputs we produce a prioritized roadmap in the first two weeks — you see the logic behind every recommendation before a single line of copy is changed or a single outreach email is sent. We operate on rolling three-month retainers, reviewed and renewed based on performance against the traffic and visibility targets we set together at the kickoff. Brașov is our home base, and while most of our client meetings happen remotely, we regularly work with businesses in Brașov, Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, and Sibiu. We have handled projects in Romanian, English, and German — so if your site targets multiple markets, we can coordinate multi-language keyword research without losing nuance. What we don't do: we won't promise rankings we can't influence, we won't build links on sites that don't editorially relate to your industry, and we won't take on a new client if we genuinely believe their niche is too competitive for their current domain authority to make a meaningful dent in the next twelve months. Honesty about what's achievable, supported by the data, is the foundation everything else here is built on.
